# Vault

Our OPAC gateway Vault securely stores card holder details - including payment method information - so you can safely keep card holders on file.

The vault is used to process payments with our subscription billing feature, and can also used for non subscription transactions so your customers don't need to re-enter their information each time they make a purchase from you.

# How it works

When your customer makes an initial payment or a card verification, the payment method is stored in the vault.

The card details is encrypted by OPAC gateway and associated with a unique card token. This token can be used to create transactions without the PCI burden that come with handling un encrypted data.
